The eat roo recommendation is contained in a report, Paths to a Low-Carbon Future, commissioned by Greenpeace and released today.
It also coincides with recent calls from climate change experts for people in rich countries to reduce red meat and switch to chicken and fish because land-clearing and burping and farting cattle and sheep were damaging the environment. They said nearly a quarter of the planet's greenhouse gases came from agriculture, which releases the potent heat-trapping gas methane.

Today's report by leading scientist Dr Mark Diesendorf, from the University of NSW, says greenhouse gas emissions need to be slashed by at least a third by 2020 to avoid a climate change catastrophe.

Weather Stations Giving Bad Global Warming Data -- MSM MIA


THE BEAT GOES ON......... TO MAINTAIN THE UNTRUTH ABOUT THE HIGH TEMPERATURES AND HOW THE WEATHER STATIONS ARE NOT PROPERLY LOCATED. THE INSTRUMENTS ARE GIVING HIGHER TEMPERATURE READINGS BECAUSE OF POOR LOCATION AND ARE NOT BEING PROPERLY MAINTAINED TO RECORD MORE ACCURATE READINGS.

But, it is evident that the so-called scientific community has also ignored the arguments in this story as there has yet to be a weather station moved or its location and/or construction reevaluated.
Anthony Watts has a great website detailing the problems with some of these weather stations, but there are far more out there than the ones that Mr. Watts details. He cannot be expected to catch them all, naturally. So, this report details another problematic station. This one is situated in the Bandelier National Monument Park in New Mexico.

Climate Care uses the money to help persuade families such as Sarju’s to give up labour-saving diesel pumps and buy human-powered treadles instead. It claims that by using the treadle, a family will save money on diesel and hire charges, earn more from increased crops and cut the carbon emissions that would have been produced by the pump.
Last week Indian experts criticised the scheme, saying it was promoting child labour and forcing poor farmers to work harder so that wealthy air travellers could enjoy exotic holidays without worrying about the environment.

Yes, climate change is an important issue. And, yes, public education on the impacts of global warming to South Sound and what residents can do to minimize their individual impact is important. But what’s really galling is the fact that the two speakers, Andrew Revkin, author and environmental writer for The New York Times and Terry Tempest Williams, a naturalist and author, are not even going to take questions from the audience.
Wouldn’t a video conference have been more environmentally conscious?
Each speaker will receive $12,500 plus travel and lodging costs for their 30-minute presentation — about $435 per minute — and South Sound residents don’t even get to have their questions answered.

SIMPLY AMAZING: Another piece of reporting that is not true. CHINA is the number one producer of CO2 in the world, not the U.S.

Scientists Counter AP Article Promoting Computer Model Climate Fears

Nearly two dozen prominent scientists from around the world have denounced a recent Associated Press article promoting sea level fears in the year 2100 and beyond based on unproven computer models predictions. The AP article also has been accused of mischaracterizing the views of a leading skeptic of man-made global warming fears. The scientists are dismissing the AP article, entitled “Rising Seas Likely to Flood U.S. History” (LINK) as a “scare tactic,” “sheer speculation,” and “hype of the worst order.”
