Frog-deforming infections caused by tiny parasites are increasing because of North American farms' nutrient-rich watershed, a new study shows.
The excess nitrogen and phosphorus found in farm runoff causes more algae to grow, which increases snail populations that host microscopic parasites called trematodes, said Pieter Johnson, a water scientist at the University of Colorado in Boulder.

ETHANOL IS WORSE THAN OIL, UH OH..........THE CAT IS OUT OF THE BAG

DON'T SAY I TOLD YOU SO.

ETHANOL IS A LOUSY FUEL SUBSTITUTE, CREATES MORE GREENHOUSE GASES, WILL COST MORE TO PRODUCE AND GETS LOUSY MILEAGE.

There is a Keystones Kops quality to the whole Global Warming Panic. Not only can no one say for sure if the Earth is warming or cooling — or whether that is necessarily a bad thing — but no one can prove that man has anything to do with it. But of course that is not stopping politicians from their do-something games, even if they are not quite sure whether what they do improves or worsens matters.

Now comes a report out of England that biofuels from corn and rapeseed create 50%-70% more greenhouse gasses than petroleum.

What is sad is that the average American does not realize that their tax dollars are being spent on a technology that is worse than using petroleum for fuels. Also, what is stupid is our Congress has already passed laws that require the U.S. to be using a certain percentage of biofuels..

Thank you Great Britian that you do have enough fortitude to print the facts. Our liberal politicians, green wackos and the liberal press will deny these findings even though the facts are coming out.

Instead we have billions of dollars handed over to corn farmers in the United States to produce a fuel that reduces MPG, harms the engine and may use more energy to produce than it creates (the studies on that point have been debated). And now it turns out that ethanol is more damaging to the atmosphere than oil. WHAT A CROCK.

Governments shouldn’t subsidize a damned thing. Let the marketplace take care of this. Had we simply done a few tax credits 30 years ago instead of creating the Department of Energy, we’d probably be done with oil by now.

Climate Change: Did NASA scientist James Hansen, the global warming alarmist in chief, once believe we were headed for . . . an ice age? An old Washington Post story indicates he did.

On July 9, 1971, the Post published a story headlined "U.S. Scientist Sees New Ice Age Coming." It told of a prediction by NASA and Columbia University scientist S.I. Rasool. The culprit: man's use of fossil fuels.
The Post reported that Rasool, writing in Science, argued that in "the next 50 years" fine dust that humans discharge into the atmosphere by burning fossil fuel will screen out so much of the sun's rays that the Earth's average temperature could fall by six degrees.
Sustained emissions over five to 10 years, Rasool claimed, "could be sufficient to trigger an ice age."

Most Science Studies Appear to Be Tainted By Sloppy Analysis..........

Global Swarming:

Is it time for Americans to start cutting our baby emissions?

What's the environmental cost of having a child? In the crudest terms, you've added another version of yourself into the world, which means you're potentially doubling your carbon-dioxide emissions over the total life of your family. That's a high estimate, since our kids won't spew as much greenhouse gas as we do—automobiles, appliances, light bulbs, and everything else will become more efficient in coming generations. But these marginal improvements aren't going to make our babies carbon-neutral. They'll just contribute to global warming at somewhat lower rates than we do.

Remember: for a nation to maintain enough people to maintain their population and not eventually be replaced by immigrants, each family needs to have around an average of 3 or 4 children per family. The UNITED STATES average is just below these figures. The European countries are headed for real problems since some of these countries have less than 1-2 children per year or almost 0 growth.
(Please do not hold me to these figures, but I read an article several months back that was written on this topic).

BIOFUELS NEED TO DROPPED ACCORDING TO OECD.......

WELL, THE TRUTH WILL ALWAYS SURFACE. WHAT A KICK IN THE SHINS ON BIOFUELS. I KNOW, I KNOW, BUT REMEMBER I TOLD YOU SO. This just plain makes sense. REMEMBER PET ROCKS. Gee, I was not stupid enough to buy a pet rock. The world is being sucked into a giant pit of endless spend spend spend and biofuels will not help very much. The down side of biofuels is not good for the environment.

Governments need to scrap subsidies for biofuels, as the current rush to support alternative energy sources will lead to surging food prices and the potential destruction of natural habitats, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development will warn on Tuesday.
The OECD will say in a report to be discussed by ministers on Tuesday that politicians are rigging the market in favour of an untried technology that will have only limited impact on
climate change.

The survey says biofuels would cut energy-related emissions by 3 per cent at most. This benefit would come at a huge cost, which would swiftly make them unpopular among taxpayers.
The study estimates the US alone spends $7bn (€5bn) a year helping make ethanol, with each tonne of carbon dioxide avoided costing more than $500. In the EU, it can be almost 10 times that.

THE ABOVE STATEMENTS ARE THE KNIVES CUTTING THE JUGULAR VEIN OF BIOFUELS. THE U.S. WILL PAY MORE THAN $500.00 PER TONNE OF CO2 AVOIDED WHILE MAKING ETHANOL.

The end result will be billions spent, no noticeable effect on global warming (MAN CANNOT CHANGE THIS), higher prices for food and destruction of natural habitats, not including the extra fuel and fertilizers will be used and just plain wasted for the amount of return they will offer.

WE HAVE OIL ALL OVER THE PLACE. WHEN DO WE START DRILLING???? WAKE UP FOLKS, BIOFUELS ARE GOING TO BE A NIGHTMARE AND THE HORRORS HAVE JUST STARTED. WHO'S GONNA PAY FOR ALL THE WASTE FROM THESE FUELS WHEN THE FEDS DROP THEIR KICKBACK PER GALLON FOR THE BIOFUELS AND THE PRODUCERS WANT TO BAIL OUT BECUASE THEY WILL LOOSE MONEY WITHOUT THE KICKBACK???

A practical smart approach to see exactly what is really happening on GLOBAL WARMING. IS IT HYPE AND RHETORIC OR WHAT ARE THE REAL TRUTHS ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING? As a chemist and a science geek, I have always maintained that there is a correct approach to all this global warming madness.

AS I HAVE STATED ON SEVERAL OCCASSIONS, IF THE U.S. TRULY HAS GW PROBLEMS AND ISSUES, THEN LET'S FIGURE IT OUT AND FIX IT, PERIOD.

I can only imagine how much money has been blown (billions of dollars) on global warming projects and what do we have to show for it. Yea, its been hotter this year, but I can remember in the summer of 1982 in Cheraw South Carolina when I worked for J.P Stevens Textile Company that we had over 30 days of 100 degrees or above heat. So, we've had hot weather in Dalton, Ga. this summer, but nothing like the heat in 1982. The climate is going to do what the climate will do. There are other factors that are effecting our weather and the sun is a main culprit.

Where are the GW RELIGIOUS PUNDITS that have proven GW is caused by CO2 or MAN???????

I know where there is $100,000.00 to be claimed by the first person who can prove this hypothesis of GW via proven scientific methods.

REMEMBER THIS IF YOU DON'T REMEMBER ANY OTHER POST I MAKE:

AUSTRALIA THE GREAT GLOBAL WARMING SWINDLE DEBATE.......

The airing of the documentary was supposed to give an opportunity for Australians to hear arguments opposing the existence of global warning. Durkin’s documentary featured criticism of the science and indeed the business surrounding climate change. It was interesting, through-provoking and challenged the climate change orthodoxy which has taken a strangle-hold of the Australian thinking on the subject.

THE 11TH HOUR, DECAPRIO'S DOOMSDAY MACHINE

DiCaprio's movie, The 11th Hour, is another example of anti-forestry scare tactics, this time said to be "brilliant and terrifying" by James Christopher of the London Times.
Maybe so, but instead of surrendering to the terror, keep in mind that there are solutions to the challenges of climate, and our forests are among them.
This film should be a good, clear reminder for us to put the science before the Hollywood hype.

It's no surprise that environmentalists would resort to soft porn to make their case, since scientific arguments and evidence aren't working. One thing that won't be denied by climate change deniers is that global warming emperors indeed have no clothes.
