AL GORE, wow his movie, duhh, talks a lot about the Atlantic Ocean currents and their flows, how they will affect Great Britian because these currents are slowing down. Have they slow downed? A BIT OF DATA WAS AGAIN MISREPRESENTED, WAS IT????

NASA IGNORES ITS SCREW UP ON REPORTING TEMPERATURES......

WELL, NASA reported it wrong on the temperatures and the hottest year on record. Now they are ignoring their miscalculations and acting as if nothing never happened. YEAH, the same NASA that is having a hard time making a decision on whether or not to repair the space tiles on the bottom of the Endeavor. Duhh, are the lives of the Endeavor crew important or not???

CORN AFFECTING FOOD PRICES BESIDES OTHER FACTORS.

DUE TO GOVERNMENT MANDATES,CORN BEING GROWN FOR ETHANOL is helping drive up food prices. What so sad is that without the government subsidizing ethanol production (kick backs to the ethanol producer), there would be less interest in ethanol production. We don't even have any ethanol fuel pumps in our area. How many older cars will be able to burn the E85 fuel?

WE DON'T NEED TO USE DOMESTIC CORN for ethanol, there are other feedstocks that yield better ethanol than the corn being grown in the U.S.
Ethanol can be a great approach to getting us off the oil merry go round, but using corn, a main product in just about all food items in the U.S. is not the smartest route.
The farmers will grow more corn, make a mere pentance more for their corn and their costs will go up 20-30% because of higher fuel and fertilizer price increases.
I just post the info. But it is worth a look and see.

ENDEAVOUR'S SPACE SHUTTLE ASTRONAUTS MAY BE IN DANGER ON RETURN TRIP TO EARTH......

Will the space shuttle Endeavor be in jeopardy on its return flight to earth?

Pieces of foam came off the large fuel tanks and smashed into the bottom of the shuttle damaging the space tiles. Repairs will have to be made.

Funny, this is a common problem on the space shuttle. THE FOAM KEEPS TEARING OFF THE FUEL TANKS BECAUSE NASA CHANGED THE ADHESIVE IN THE FOAM SYSTEM FROM A SOLVENT BASED PRODUCT (THAT DEPLETES THE OZONE???) TO A WATER BASED PRODUCT. WHY? BECAUSE IT WAS MANDATED BY THE EPA BECAUSE OF THE OZONE DEPLETION LAW THAT WAS PASSED IN CLINTON/GORE REIGN.

This CHANGE was responbible for the Columbia shuttle to crash and kill its occupants on the return flight to earth. Foam coming off the fuel tanks and slamming into the heat tiles on the bottom of the shuttle during take off. This action of foam damage had never happened before on all the other shuttle space mission.
Unfortunately, it was too late for the Columbia crew. The damage to the heat tiles was severe enough therefore, the Columbia was not protected on re-entry into the Earth's atmosphere. BOOM and the Columbia was history.
The Columbia's shuttle crew had to die to prove that a water based foaming system failed over a solvent based foam system?? What a waste of gifted people and expensive equipment.

A big question? How stupid can we be? Uhhh, as important as our astronauts are and as important as the space shuttle is, WHY NOT CONTINUE TO USE THE SOLVENT BASED FOAM INSTEAD OF THE WATER BASED FOAM? Another big question? How much will the ozone layer be affected by the amount of solvent used in the foaming system to cover the fuel tanks? Bet it is low enough amount to justify using the solvent system. NASA needs to get the EPA to give a special variance to be able to go back to the old foaming system.

Since the foam system was changed to a water based product, there has been an issue with the foam coming off and slamming into the shuttle's under side on every shuttle mission. Duhh, how hard is this to figure out? If your son or daughter were going to fly on the space shuttle, would you want to have the best system available to apply the foam to the fuel tanks to prevent another Columbia disaster????? As John Stossell says: "GIVE ME A BREAK".

What do these people think? I am all for renewable energy, getting off of the black gold and being less dependent on foreign imports of oil. FOLKS, WAKE UP. These programs take time to get in place and who will pay for all the re-tooling and costs to use alternate energy sources?
There will be a time in the near future that we will be able to wean off the oil with other energy sources, but it will take time and lots of money for this change.

CARBON TAX AND CARBON CREDITS

Just a few words on carbon tax and carbon credits.
Wake up folks for all you who have not paid attention to all the hype and rhetoric concerning GLOBAL WARMING, CARBON TAX AND CARBON CREDITS.

There is a big push in many governments, the U.N. and the U.S. to impose a carbon tax on various industries that are causing or so some experts say GLOBAL WARMING. That would include power plants, even automobiles and all types of industry that produces green house gases???? Hey, cows and humans will not be able to pass gass because they will be taxed and then someone will want to sell you a sheet of paper called a CARBON CREDIT for a $1000.00. There is even research going on to make special feed so cows won't blow in the wind. What about the cow piles? They will release brown house gases as they evaporate.
I will sell you carbon credits all day long for $500.00 and plant a little pine tree in your name for each $100.00 you pay. Get the picture?

Well, as we can all see, growing corn for ethanol production is driving up meat and milk prices, causing shortages and some restaurants are having trouble with beef supplies. You say, well so what.

Well, for youR information the PRICE INCREASES have just started.

A lot of small cattle herds are being sold off this summer because of increased grain and hay prices. I talked to a man at the Lansing Mi. airport in April and he said because of increased feed prices and having to buy additional hay, he was selling of his cattle herd as soon as he got back to Georgia. Even some of the large beef herds that grow premier breeding stock are having mature cow dispersals this fall. Reason: increased fuels costs and grain costs. Again you say so what. Well, with this happening, we will see even more pressure on prices for milk, bread, meat (beef, chicken and pork) and any other products affected by increased grain prices and shortages that will in turn mean higher prices to the consumer (US) at our grocery stores.

Well, on top of all this going on in the food and grain markets, these carbon taxes go into effect and then if we are stupid enough to buy the so called "carbon credits", our spending funds will be strained more than ever. LARGE COMPANIES AND AL GORE PURCHASE CARBON CREDITS. FOR WHAT REASON? Makes them feel good, they are doing there part for GW as they pass the cost on to the consumer.

Speaking of "carbon credits", they have been for sale on EBAY and for a $1000.00 someone would issue you carbon credits, plant a tree or trees in your behalf and you get a fancy certificate.

So the hype and scams go on. Watch out about the carbon credits. Contact you Senator or U.S Representative and tell them before they start passingcarbon taxes on industry American, they should look at cutting their lousy spending habits with our money and stop flying private jets all over the world at tax payers expense and stop paying the cost with carbon credits. WHAT A JOKE.
A CUP OF CO2 FOR YOU TODAY? That will be 3 carbon credits and a carbon tax of 10 cents.
